Reports from Facebook vending community group: Pattern: Asks for $300 refundable deposit before buyer can see the machine or location. Sends video of facility and contract, then requests payment via Chime or Venmo. When asked to see the location in person, they disappear. Community advice shared in thread: Never pay via Zelle, Venmo, Cash App or other third-party payment before seeing the site. Never pay for a location until you have met with them first. Ask for immediate face-to-face walk-through of their facility. Always purchase from a distributor that can be verified on Google and has an address verifiable on Google Earth. Report scams to local law enforcement and IC3.
